My daughter is a Play Therapist - she asked for a sand tray table, so I built one…
But I couldn’t just build a simple table, it had to be something special…
From there, things got a little creative!
New collection: Sand Tray
This standard Jungian sand tray is not-so-standard! It features the following:
Hardwood maple construction
3/8” thick sides and lid - half the thickness of many other standard size trays - to minimize unnecessary weight
Book-matched panels on the lid, to provide both beauty and utility.
Leather handles on the sides completes this beautiful and functional addition to your sand tray therapy activities.
The entire sand tray is 28” x 19-1/2” x 3”
It comes with an optional lid
It weighs 20lbs with the lid on and 13lbs with the lid off.
Between the materials and the joinery, it is a sturdy, functional and beautiful addition to anyone’s sand tray therapy.
Made as a custom request from my Play Therapist daughter who wanted two sand trays to work with…This is the result. Two pull-out drawers, each holding a standard size sand tray. The top is white melamine, which can accommodate an additional sand tray, or other elements of the sand therapy room. The white melamine can be written on with dry-erase markers and easily cleaned. It adds multiple dimensions to the sand therapy approach.
We spoke with Sand Tray Play Therapists and they asked for a stand that doubles as a nice office coffee table - the Linrose Sandtray/Coffee Table is the result.
This will be useful for the sand tray therapist with limited space, or for someone’s home needing extra storage!

This bowl is from spalted maple burl, with hints of black and blue resin to support the bowl integrity. The lid is ebonized oak. Both were harvested in the North Carolina Piedmont and are a unique, one of a kind, bowl for a more intimate sand therapy experience. The bowl measures 12”in diameter and 5-1/2” tall with an interior depth of 2-1/4”. It will easily accommodate 3lbs of therapy sand.
